Your Road To Victory

I’m sure you’ve learned that life is full of disappointments and setbacks, but the person who comes out on top is the one who perseveres. When trying to make a healthy lifestyle change, your persistence will be challenged.  I’ve been where you are at right now…I’ve fallen down many times over, but I refuse to give up.  I know that you have this same spirit, too!  I believe anyone can be an OVER-COMER. I believe anyone can achieve Victory.

It’s all about choices.

Here’s 4 thought-provoking Choices to consider:

#1 – Choose who you hang out with.   We become like the 5 people we hang out with the most.  That can be a good influence or bad.  If it’s someone you can’t eliminate from your life, limit the amount of time you spend with them and be selective about what you discuss with them.

#2 – Choose who you share your successes and failures with.  Only discuss your goals with those that will give you supportive words and thunderous applause to lead you to victory.

#3 – Choose who you listen to.  Ask yourself, “Are they where I want to be physically, mentally, emotionally?”

#4 – Choose to swallow your pride, have a humble heart and put your ego in check.  It’s what’s going on in your head that will either make you or break you.

My friends, the journey to your Winner’s Circle is paved with obstacles…physically, mentally & emotionally.

Guard Your Time, Guard Your Heart and Guard Your Mind.   

We are where we are because of the choices we’ve made.  The good news is, we can begin today to make better choices to create our BEST SELF!!

A moment of reflection may be needed to gain some clarity.  Always be open to self growth as it not only improves you, it gives new hope to those around you to do the same.

What level of thinking are you working from?  Rise above.  At the end of the day, it’s “what positive change” you left to those you touched, that matters.  “Don’t doubt in the darkness, what you’ve learned in the light”…

Whether you are just beginning this journey of self discovery or have been on the road for a while, you should be very proud of your progress thus far.  You are creating new habits and the true champion in you will carry those on long after you reach your goals.

You have so many successes to celebrate.  Try again.  Just because you may think you are not where you are supposed to be, think again.  Many goals are not achieved on the first attempt, or even the 10th attempt – it does not mean you are a failure. It doesn’t matter how many times you miss the mark, the true victory is how many times you get back up and try again – a little harder…

Always remember, “slow and steady wins the race”…

Let me lift you up and give you 5 steps to MAKE A COMEBACK on YOUR Road To Victory:

1.  Stop running yourself down. Empty your mind and start respecting yourself.

2.  Eliminate self-pity!  Start thinking of the blessings you have instead of what you have lost.

3.  Stop thinking of yourself. Think of helping others. Go out and find someone who needs the kind of help you can give, and give it.

4.  Have a goal and put a timetable on it.  Bite-size pieces.

5.  Stop wasting your mental energy on gripes and complaints, and start thinking positively.

 

Now, roll up your sleeves and let’s get to work….
